WINTER-SUMMER

Its time for the winter to summer transition in the garden.. Have

chucked out most of the winter annuals that finished flowering and

collected seeds.. somehow sollecting seeds is a very satisfying

experience for me.. it kind of adds a finishing touch to the whole

thing.. most of them have given out seeds for me and some have

already scatter theirs before i could collect.. like pansy.. and

yet another like maroon cosmos, lady’s lace, stocks,  diamorphotheca,

nasturtium are yet to produce seeds..

I don’t know if freesia sets seeds but i can see something like

that forming on the plant.. will have to watch it closely..

The verbena cuttings that i planted have also picked up and i

shall be using them in hanging baskets soon along with portulaca

and zinnia and coleus and impatiens.. Just one will go in the

container on the wall where i have verbenas in alternate ones..

the other alternates are still empty and i shall put in something

when it is large enough to be spared by the notorious squirrel

that eats up everything on the wall..

Also planted 6 geranium and 2 carnation cuttings in my newly

acquired greenhouse.. oh i forgot to tell!! I GOT A GREENHOUSE!!

Its a good one and big enuf for me for starters.. My Dad n Uncle

got it made for me:) I’m oh-so-happyyyyyyyyyyy

The heat is burning the flowers i’m having a hard time saving

them.. The roses are all baked and today i pruned

the-big-rose-bush-that-bears-gorgeous-white-pink-flowers and

watered it thoroughly.. i’m hoping for better results now..

Also moved portulaca seedlings into indivisual cups(21 of them)

and they are resting in my greenhouse till they bloom and i can

make baskets according to colors..
The coleus seedlings have also started showing colors and it will

be very soon wen they will have their indivisual places..
