GARDEN ON THE MOVE AND SOME TRANSPLANTATION

It’s tough to move a garden that has had nothing but water for maintenance for the past 5 months.. Just look at the mess.. but i am now utilizing this opportunity to kind of refresh my garden.. moving similar kind of plants into similar pots and things like that.. but that involves a LOT of work!! The weather has been playing games for the past 15 days with bits of rain and sunshine and frost.. all random… but i know that this is the season to get things done so that i can fertilize everything in time for blooms in march… i have another reason too.. The annual flower show will be anytime in the next 15 days and like every-time i don’t want to go and drool over every flower and bring home a truckload of stuff; most of which i always happen to have already.

Last year i had a tough time controlling myself as i bought my geraniums late and so i didn’t know what color they would flower in. So just to be safe(!!), i bought every color offered as i was hanging around the exhibition morning to evening (i just couldn’t go home from all those flowers!) So i am setting up things in advance this year so that i know exactly what to buy(and what not!) For starters, i had to move the gerberas from their old pots into something bigger and wider so the marigolds did the sacrifice.. They are growing larger so instead of diving i just decided to give them a larger space since they happen to bloom frequently and i like flowers in clusters.. Also of the azalea pots broke in-transit so i moved both into their new homes..
