BUDSCAPE IS BACK..!!

I have decided to make a comeback on my blog after a recent technical error that wiped out all the data here.. So in the process of back-up the older posts(till sep 08) will be in an image format and partly compromising on the text and picture quality for which i apologize.. (PLEASE CLICK ON THE IMAGES  AND ZOOM IN TO VIEW FULL SIZE READABLE TEXT)but from now on they will be back to normal.. while i’m in the process of completing the update which may take a week or so, i will be simultaneously adding new posts of current dates.. so here i begin..

Dear Yasmeen: Where do you get the Caladium seeds? And where do you live to have such hot weather?

I’m in central Canada and we’re lucky it’s not freezing overnight.

    Different climates, different conditions..

    Sandy.

Should I use bonemeal when planting roses…in the hole before I plunk the rose in the hole?

My suggestion is to mix bonemeal in the soil that u will use to fill the hole and will surround the roots of the plant.. That way the roots can take up the nutrients easily.. it is evenly divided over the immediate area that way and also does not harm the roots when excess.. that how i do it and the roses do well. hope that helps:)

I purchased Caladium bulbs from local stores but have spotted a Caladium flower among the leaves so i’m hoping to save some seeds.. I live in Punjab, India where these days temp goes as high as 45 deg celcius! As far as winters go in my region we do not get minus temperatures at all so we get the advantage of 12 month gardening:)

Yeah even i think so and last time the flowers lasted longer.. maybe the bulbs did not have much energy stored for this year.. i hopt this time i’m able to harvest healthier bulbs..
