MORE SEEDS N TORENIAS

I’ve decided to begin sowing in the first week of oct as i hope the rains will subside by then.. but gardeners are
impatient by  nature and can’t wait to see a plant in bloom.. so i went plant shopping today(ironically, i can
never window-shop for plants, like everything else). Before that i’d also talked to the horticulturist at suttons
and placed my order which comprises of these:
  • Godetia
  • Mimulus
  • Petunia-double
  • salvia-blue
  • Achillea
  • Begonia-tomfoolery
  • Calceolaria
  • Penstemone
  • Sedum
  • Schizanthus
  • Lettuce-iceberg
  • Strawberry-mignonette
  • Poppy-lilac
Sadly they did not have everything on my list, so now i’m left with:
  • Gypsophilla
  • Impatiens-double
  • Pansy-black
  • Datura
  • Poppy-peony black
  • Cornflower
  • Wallflower
  • Torenia
Out of these cross out torenia, because i found the plants at the nursery. and oh-my!! did they look pretty! i was
floored and couldn’t choose b/w the 4 colors on display so after long thoughts i picked up white n pink because
pink happens to be my fav color. then i saw purple and realized that purple is my current fav of the season so i
picked it up too. Then.. well… i saw a magenta n white combo and it looked pretty.. and sad.. so i had to rescue
it!! ok i admit these are just excuses but i just couldnt not resist either of them.. and since only the white one
if left, i wonder if i should pick it up too đŸ˜‰ They were rs. 50 each and a good buy at the price.. i’m oh-so-
happy!!!!!
Apart from that i picked up a seed packet of dwarf sweet pea from thompson morgan for rs. 100.. its like an
answered prayer because i have always been trying to grow sweet peas in containers with them spilling everywhere
and trailing on everything in vicinity. Let’s see if this one turns out true to its name(i hope it does!!) all in
all.. i can’t wait to sow-n-grow(the plants ofcourse!)

Like you, I can’t browse for plants or books — I have to buy. I only step into a nursery or bookstore if I know I want to spend.
