Delhites rejoice!! Thompson-Morgan is in India!! Yesterday’s rainy weather seemed perfect for a nursery outing.. so
on my way back i stopped at the nearby Yogi Nursery and i was quite bored strolling through so much foliage..
picking up things on whim.. and buying a few chrysanthemum plugs(10) in varying colors.. till i entered their seed
shop out of habit not expecting anything but BINGO!! I laid my eyes on TM seed packets and for a few minutes
couldn’t believe it! Thought the variety is not as much as i can order directly from them but to buy TM seeds off
the shelf is an entirely different luxury!! so while i was still sulking about the loss of my geranium collection,
i went ahead and bought a packet of Geranium seeds for Rs. 50 🙂 Chatting up the owner, i came to know that i can
actually order a lot more from various international seed companies through them.. they gave me a complete list
which i shall put up on budscape as soon i take time to scan it.. yes! this is going to an amazing even-more-
flowery winter 🙂
I have been on a garden shopping spree and picked up a few clay fish, butterflies and bird from an exhibit.. can’t
wait to put them up in my garden.. next came the bag of compost to transplant my newly bought plugs.. i also went
to my fav nursery in delhi today i.e. the Rajdhani nursery in jor Bagh.. they are already selling the seedlings for
winter blossoms.. while i did not pick up the usual ones beacuse i will grow them from seed, but i did pick up 4
seedlings for the double petunia.. as is the trend with nurseries in north India, i was told they are “MIXED
COLORS” amusing but i kind of love the mystery now.. last year i could not find double petunia anywhere and i
forgot to grwo from seed too.. so this year i am not taking any chances.. tom morning ti plan to wake up early to
plant it all before i go for work.. my garden gloves are washed n ready.. and so am i.. the winter excitement sets
in! yes!! Happy Gardening to me and you too 🙂
P.S. pics tom.. its too dark now..
