Another feat accomplished today with two trays sown.. today the target seeds were

aster pansy marigold gazania cactus dahlia and ipomea..

out of these i skipped gazania as the fuzzy seeds were a bit difficult to handle and sow in trays.. i will sow them in a container now..

Today i also went shopping for gardening supplies and came home with 6 seed trays of varying capacities, perlite, vermiculite, cocopeat blocks and a dwarf ixora(pink)

I mixed half a kg perlite in one block of cocpeat and used the vermiculite to cover the sown seeds as it retains moisture for uniform germination.. the perlite improves drainage and makes the seed mix light which helps roots to develop..

Here are a few pics from today’s work..
