Really? I would love to see it in “weed” form!
For bulbs in Ludhiana, I rely on either Technocare nursery, Baddowal or Hara seed shop opp. PAU. These are the only ones that get good stock in season and you might be able to find spider lily bulbs. They might also order for you if you ask them, in advance. Otherwise, it’s Delhi or online. Hope that helps!

Great .. Thanks a lot.. Those are my favorite weekend shopping destinations for all such needs lol.. Hara followed by Technocare..

Sorry I could not get you any article on football lilies growing as weeds in Goa since google fetches some different results associating goa and ‘weed’.. lol

However I can tell you that I have read it in some gardening related article. As a matter of fact, the Bellis perennis is an english weed, gazania is a south african weed, ageratum(though a much crude form) is a weed in isolated places in punjab, Osteospermum (I dont like saying this since its my fav. flower) is also a weed in africa.

Wish we could have them as weed in our gardens to avoid back breaking chores of watering and care ..

Oh that’s my routine too!! I love both the places for my gardening needs.
And yes, weed is actually a relative term. Anything that grows by itself in abundance without any sort of care and is invasive , may be termed as a weed. Basically it competes with a desirable plant for space and nutrients. Having said that, i really wouldn’t mind having football lily as a weed! Much better than the boring ground covers that keep popping up in containers!
