Today i have a feeling that the garden is in control.. accomplished quite a lot and only a lil more work left till i can sit back and await the blooms.. the roses have all been fertlized and deadheaded and suckers cut from all except two plants.. shall do that tom.. the new formula i am using seems to be working very well and very excited to see new growth on all plants..

Another thing i’m very enthusiastic about is the flower pouches which i have finally set up and even hung up one to see the effect.. i’ve got 6 of them with one kind of flower in each for a splashy effect 😉 Its not so easy to plant them up as it appears but my work was made easier with the swell gel and feed already provided.. jus add to potting mix and fill up.. but when it comes to inserting seedlings, i had to be very careful.. the roots had to go in and settle firmly through the small slits without any damage to the seeding.. tough job but well worth the effort i hope.. there are 9 slits and space on top for another seedling.. thats makes it 10 which i think is a nice number for a burst-of-color kind of thing.

I’d also set up 2 out of the 6 hanging baskets yesterday; using a new method and they seem to be fine.. i’ll plant up the other 4 tom if i’m able to decide today which plants will go in.. i’m considering carnation, petunia and two mixed baskets.. the ones already set-up have daisy and nemesia..

Since cocopeat is my fav medium and i’m always running out of it, yest it was time again to buy another brick.. but its very diffcult to hunt for it in ludhiana because shops don’t keep it due to low demand.. found it at one place in loose form for Rs. 25 per Kg!!!! and i needed kilos n kilos of it.. so the hunt continued and i went to my reliable nursery where they had it in brick form for Rs. 70. Now thats the brick i always buy and it expands to roughly 20 Kg.. That makes it just 3.5 per Kg opposed to the exorbitant rates i was getting it sumwhere else. And i know its the same thing expanded in water because i saw and touched to make sure.. so i’m wondering what exactly are they charging the extra Rs. 21.5 for? Water??

Coming back to the garden i have a tiny chamomile bloom today.. i think they are crammed in the herb basket and need space.. Also noticed a pink hyacinth coming up 🙂

And as i’m typing I’ve just received new plants as my dad has returned from a trip to Himachal.. so cya..
